CHARLOTTE-BASED INSULATION MANUFACTURER
SPONSORS CMS HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC PROGRAMS

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — August 4, 2006 — GreenFiber, LLC announced today that it has made a two-year commitment to donate approximately $50,000 to help fund athletic programs in 17 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) high schools.

"We wanted to give back where in a positive and enriching way for our community’s future," said Dennis Barrineau, president of GreenFiber. "And when Vicki Hamilton, director of athletics for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, recommended that our contribution to athletics would support the district’s character education program through the values learned in good sportsmanship and discipline, our decision was made."

GreenFiber will present their check to each of the 17 schools at an educational forum held in Ovens Auditorium on Friday, August 4 at 2 p.m. Among the attendees at this event will be CMS’ high school athletic directors, principals and school board members.

"We are so grateful for GreenFiber’s generous contribution to our athletic program," said Ms. Hamilton. "Their corporate leadership in supporting positive programs within the public school system is exemplary. We are thrilled to have this unprecedented corporate sponsorship."

During the football, basketball, baseball and softball seasons, GreenFiber will have a corporate banner displayed at all home games at each high school. The banner features a homebound, hound dog wearing a green wooly cap tied under his chin with the caption, "Hounded by high utility bills?" The signage features GreenFiber Cocoon Insulation as an energy-saving solution.

With heating bills anticipated to increase again this winter due to high oil prices, GreenFiber continues to educate consumers in different venues on how to make their homes more energy efficient and to promote the availability of the energy tax credit. They believe that families deserve to know their choices in heating and cooling their homes efficiently as well as taking advantage of the tax credit provided to upgrade their insulation.

Established in 2000 and headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., GreenFiber, LLC is a quality-conscious provider of GreenFiber Cocoon Insulation, fire and sound products.
